PALO ALTO, Calif., (November 3, 2005) – StemCells, Inc. (NASDAQ: STEM) today announced that it will participate in the Rodman & Renshaw Techvest 7 th Annual Healthcare Conference scheduled for November 7-9, 2005 at the New York Palace Hotel in New York City. Rodney Young, Chief Financial Officer of StemCells, Inc., is scheduled to speak at 10:50 a.m. on Monday, November 7, 2005. There will be a breakout session following the presentation at which Mr. Young will be available to answer questions about the Company.
